Easy Air Fryer Pork Chops and green beans - a simple, healthful low-carb dinner recipe, ready in a flash!

Oh hey, pork lovers, have I got a treat for you?!

The BEST pork chops made in mere minutes in the air fryer!

I confessed in my Creamy Crock Pot Pork Chops With Potatoes and Mushroomsย that I am pretty picky about my pork. It simply must be magically tender, am I right?!

Well, cooking pork in the air fryer is incredibly easy as it turns out, and youโ€™re guaranteed that tender deliciousness.

Plus, this recipe is perfect for folks who donโ€™t have a lot of experience pan-frying meat, or are in a hurry to get dinner on the table quickly.

Air frying pork chops takes all the guesswork out of the process! The end result is perfectly crispy on the outside, with a nice juicy tender inside.ย Just the way a perfect pork chop should be!

As long as you check the internal temperature of the pork using a thermometer, you donโ€™t need to worry about undercooking or overcooking the meat.

Letโ€™s discuss the simple ingredients for air fryer pork chops.

Ingredients for Air Fryer Pork Chops:

Pork Chops: I have included instructions for both boneless pork chops and bone-in pork chops. Choose your favorite!

Dry Rub: Garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and sea salt make up our simple dry rub for pork chops.

This simple combination yields goof-proof, delicious results! In fact, I use the same spices for my Crispy Air Fryer Salmon and my Air Fryer Crispy Chicken Thighs.ย

Avocado Oil: We need a little coat of avocado oil over the pork chops in order to entice the seasonings to stick to it well and to add richness and moisture. This is how we end up with tender on the inside, crispy on the outside perfect pork chops!

Green Beans: Because I love eating fresh vegetables at every meal, I also threw in the how to for air fryer green beans. This way, you get a complete meal and all of it is made in the air fryer for easy prep and cleanup.

Recipe Customizations:

  • As an alternative to the green beans, you can also make my Air Fryer Garlic Butter Brussel Sprouts.
  • Swap out the seasonings for any of your favorite. Cajun seasoning, taco seasoning, Italian seasoning, or any pork, chicken or beef seasoning works great. Try my Dry Rub For Ribs in this easy recipe!
  • I don’t recommend swapping the avocado oil for olive oil, as olive oil burns around 300-350 degrees Fahrenheit.

How to Cook Pork Chops in Air Fryer:

Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F for 5 minutes.

Pat both sides of the pork chops with a paper towel to absorb any excess moisture.

Coat the pork chops in avocado oil (or cooking oil of choice), then sprinkle liberally with sea salt, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Sprinkle the pork chops with seasonings

Spray the basket of the air fryer with cooking spray. Place the pork chops in the preheated air fryer basket in a single layer.

Place the pork chops in the air fryer

Air fry at 400 degrees for 6 minutes, flip, then air fry for an additional 6 minutes or until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 150 degrees F. Insert an instant read thermometer into the thickest part of the chop to check for doneness.

If it isn’t fully cooked, or if you want it crispier, give it an extra minute or two.

Note: If youโ€™re using boneless chops, air fry at 400 for 10 minutes.

Air fry at 400 degrees for 6 minutes, flip, then air fry for an additional 6 minutes

Immediately remove the pork chops from the air fryer and set them on a plate to rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.

How to Cook Green Beans in Air Fryer:

If youโ€™re making green beans to go along with the pork chops, hereโ€™s what you do!

Chop the ends off of the green beans, then toss them in a bowl with avocado oil (or cooking oil of choice), sea salt, and garlic powder.

Toss the green beans in olive oil, sea salt, and garlic powder

Air fry green beans at 400 degrees F for 5 to 10 minutes (depending on your preference). I find 6 to 7 minutes to be perfect for me, where the green beans have softened and are beginning to turn golden-brown but are still al dente.

Perfect Air Fryer Green Beans

Serve pork chops and green beans with a sprinkle of fresh grated parmesan cheese and lemon wedges for drizzling fresh lemon juice.

Place leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Tips For The BEST Crispy Pork Chops:

If youโ€™re looking to achieve that amazing crispy texture that you get from pan-fried pork, hereโ€™s what you do!

  1. Coat with oil – As long as you give the pork chops a good coat of oil and then sprinkle both sides with plenty of seasoning, youโ€™ll achieve a lovely crust, almost as though the pork is breaded. Plus, it will be incredibly flavorful!ย
  2. Donโ€™t skimp on the seasoning! – Donโ€™t be afraid to be heavy handed with the seasonings, but obviously salt the pork according to your personal taste.
  3. Avoid overcooking – Use your meat thermometer to spot check for doneness. For the most tender pork, aim for an internal temperature of 145 degrees F. Don’t cook past 160 degrees F.

The end result is golden brown crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside pork chops. A dinner for the history books!

Frequently Asked Questions

At What Temperature is Pork Fully Cooked?

Wondering what temperature pork needs to be in order to be fully cooked? Hot topic.

Pork chops are cooked through when they reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F according to the National Pork Board

It used to be that pork was considered fully cooked when it reached 160, but after years and years of folks eating tough, overcooked pork, and countless experiments, it was determined that 145 degrees F is not only safe for consumption but results in the best flavor and texture.

If youโ€™re concerned with food safety, cook the pork chops until they reach 160. I call out 150 in the recipe just to play it extra safe.

How Long To Cook Pork Chops in Air Fryer:

For bone-in pork chops, 12 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit, flipping halfway through, or until the pork chop reaches an internal temperature of 150 degrees F.

For boneless pork chops, air fry for 10 minutes at 400 degrees F. Thereโ€™s no need to flip halfway through, but you certainly can if youโ€™d like!

The thickness of the chop impacts the final cook time, so you may need to adjust the cooking time accordingly.ย Thin pork chops require about 3-5 minutes per side, whereas thick-cut pork chops require 5-6 minutes per side.
