Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp hot water ideally 160-178 degrees Fahrenheit
  • 1 tsp matcha powder*
  • 2 tsp pure maple syrup or honey
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk steamed or heated

Instructions

  • Add the hot water, matcha powder, and pure maple syrup to a mug and stir well. Note: matcha is customarily made with hot water that is between 160 and 178 degrees Fahrenheit (70-80 degrees Celsius).
  • Heat the unsweetened almond milk by either microwaving it, heating it on the stove top, or using a milk frother.
  • Add the hot almond milk and pure maple syrup (or sweetener of choice) to the mug with the matcha mixture. Give it a stir, and enjoy! Adjust the sweetener and the amount of matcha powder to your personal taste.

Notes

*For stronger matcha flavor, use up to 2 teaspoons of matcha.
