Transfer the salmon filets to a large baking dish. Drizzle with avocado oil and use your hands or a silicone brush to coat all of the flesh with oil. Sprinkle the fish with sea salt, garlic powder, and paprika.
Turn your oven on the High Broil setting and place the casserole dish on the shelf that is third from the top. Broil for 10-13 minutes, or until the salmon is crispy on the outside and fully cooked. Insert a digital thermometer into the thickest part of the fish to check its internal temperature. Salmon is fully cooked once it reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
While the salmon is cooking in the oven, prepare the hot honey. To do so, heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a small bowl in the microwave for 20-40 seconds, or until melted. Butter has a tendency to spatter in the microwave, so I recommend covering the bowl with something such as a small lid or a plate. Once melted, mix the honey into the butter. If the honey doesn’t mix easily, microwave again for 10 seconds.
Drizzle hot honey mixture over the salmon, and enjoy! Serve salmon with a salad, roasted vegetables, rice, etc. If you’d like, you can make extra honey butter to drizzle over the rice and veggies in your meal too.
