Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups (12 oz.) Homemade Eggnog or eggnog of choice
  • 1 to 2 shots espresso or 1/2 cup (4 oz) strong brewed coffee*

Optional add-ins:

  • 1 splash bourbon or whisky for a boozy beverage!
  • freshly grated nutmeg for more flavor!
  • 1-2 tsp pure maple syrup to make it sweeter

Instructions

  • Heat the eggnog on the stovetop, whisking consistently until it begins to steam but not boil. If you have a milk frother, now is a great time to use it in order to heat and froth the milk!
  • Brew a batch of strong brewed coffee (or 1-2 shots espresso) and pour it into a large mug. Pour in the warm eggnog and stir. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg, and enjoy!

Notes

*One shot of espresso is between 1 and 1.5 ounces of espresso. You need 1 to 3 ounces of espresso (or 4-6 ounces of strong coffee), depending on your personal taste.
