  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and lightly oil (or spray) an 8” x 5” loaf pan.
  2. Add all of the ingredients except for the chocolate chips and walnuts to a blender. Blend until smooth. Fold the chocolate chips and walnuts into the banana bread batter and pour into the prepared loaf pan.
  3. Bake on the center rack of the oven for 45 minutes. Turn off the oven but leave the bread inside for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the bread tests clean.
  4. Allow bread to cool 30 minutes before turning it out onto a cutting board. Cut thick slices and serve.
