Superfood Green Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients

  • ½ ripe avocado peeled and diced
  • ½ ripe banana frozen
  • 2/3 cup milk of choice * I like a combination of canned coconut milk and unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 teaspoons pure maple syrup* optional
  • 1 scoop Rootz Protein Superfood Chocolate Banana Nut Powder
  • 1 teaspoon raw cacao powder
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract optional
  • Dash cinnamon optional
  • 3 to 5 ice cubes

For Topping:

Instructions

  • Add all of the ingredients for the smoothie to a high powered blender and blend until completely smooth. Taste smoothie for flavor and add more pure maple syrup and/or cinnamon if desired. If necessary, add a small amount of additional milk to help blend the ingredients.
  • Pour smoothie into a large bowl and top with fresh blueberries, almond butter, chia seeds, shredded coconut, cacao nibs, and pumpkin seeds.

Notes

*You can replace the milk with yogurt for a probiotic infusion.
