Roasted Garlic Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes

Roasted Garlic Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes - - - > www.theroastedroot.net

Unbutton your britches and get your spork out, we’re having roasted garlic buttermilk mashed potatoes for…ever!

I never make mashed potatoes. Ever. Not ever. Unless they’re for Shepherd’s Pie, but that only happens once a year. Mr. Potato Head wasn’t exactly a thing growing up in my household. And Mrs. Potato Head? Total biddy.

But that bowl pictured above…the one filled with mashed potatoes…that’s not a figment of your imagination. I did make that. And I used some really cool kitchen gadgets in order to do so. You probably have never heard of them. Are you feeling curious about and slightly jealous of said kitchen gadgets? Good. Because they can be yours too.

I recommend this as a side dish for your Thanksgiving and/or Christmas feast. Or for dinner when your husband goes out of town.

Hi Julia. I'm new to your blog and found you through a recent tweet we were mentioned in together by the lean green bean. i just wanted to say 'hi" and I too have a Business Degree and never felt like it was my passion. Same story as yours. Now I'm food blogging. And I recently made roasted garlic vegetable mashers too which I make once a year.LOL. Cheers and have a great weekend!

Mmmmm I'm all over that asiago cheese addition! There's nothing like a big ol' bowl of steamy mashed taters.

Ooooohhhhh ... loving this! I don't make mashed potatoes much, either, but my little daughter adores them. I guess if I wanna be in the running for mom-of-the-year, I'd better start making some for her, right!?!? And now I have the perfect recipe! Julia, I'll be sure to mention you as the reason behind my success in my mom-of-the-year acceptance speech! :D

I never make mashed potatoes either. We have a TON of potatoes at the farm and I need to get my mashing on! These look perfect!
